Czech
Czech Crystals are manmade lead glass crystals manufactured from the Czech Republic. Czech crystal production has been in Europe for hundreds of years and to be called Czech crystal, the crystal must have at least 24% lead content. Swavorski has 30% lead content.
Preciosa is a Czech Crystal brand even older than Swarovski and is considered the best brand from the region. Mr Swarovski worked for Preciosa (under its previous name) in the mid-1800’s before moving to Austria during WWII where he started Swarovski.

Rhodium plating
Rhodium plating is often added onto jewelry to increase shine, luster and durability. Rhodium plating will also make the metal more scratch resistant and, when used on silver jewelry, less prone to tarnishing.
One of the biggest upsides to rhodium plating is it’s nickel free, making it hypoallergenic.
Black Aventurine
Black aventurine (also commonly known as Obsidian) was used by ancient Aztecs as divinatory mirrors.
For crystal lovers, it is said the vibrations emanating from the crystalline structure of Obsidian interact with your personal energy to strengthen the wearer’s ability to focus.
Sterling silver
Not all silver are created equal. Pure silver is not really made up of only silver. It has 99.9% of silver, and a small content composed of other metals such as copper.
Sterling Silver, on the other hand, consists of 92.5% silver, and the remaining part consists of copper – mostly copper hence why it’s called 925 silver. For hypo-allergic reasons, nickel is never used. For more information, see here
Cubic Zirconia
Diamond simulants are imitations that look like diamonds. They are not diamonds. They do not have the same physical or chemical properties of diamonds. As these manufactured ones can be made in quantity, diamond simulants are thus less expensive than diamonds! That said, they are not as hard as diamonds hence tends to show more signs of wear and scratches over time.
Because of its low cost, durability, and close visual likeness to diamond, synthetic cubic zirconia has remained the most gemologically and economically important competitor for diamonds since commercial production began in 1976.
For crystal lover, the energy of Cubic zirconia is said to resonate with the Third Eye chakra promoting clearer vision in your work and the Crown Chakra with higher knowledge. It also assists the Solar Plexus Chakra from projecting ego and releases the fear of judgement.
14k Gold
14Karat (14k) gold is actually a gold alloy – a mixture containing additional metals, not only gold. These extra ingredients are meant to improve the characteristics of the alloy. 14k gold is relatively hard, and this is one of the reasons this alloy is a popular choice for jewelry making those pieces more durable.
Jewelry made of this type of gold scratches less and lasts longer because it wears out more slowly compared with higher-karat gold.
